Context
The Amazon Conflux Conference is an annual internal event curated by Amazon Design, bringing together creative leaders from across the organization to exchange ideas, perspectives and experiences.
For the 2022 edition, Amazon Design required a show opener to set the tone for the conference in collaboration with Brandlive Studios.
Motion Idea
Motion was used to translate Amazon Design’s existing visual language into an opening sequence that establishes energy and character from the first frame.
The approach focused on combining bold 3D elements, kinetic typography and clear graphic structures to create movement that feels dynamic while remaining consistent with the established design language.

Execution
The animations were created in 3D, using flat shading and reduced lighting to achieve a distinctly graphic, almost two-dimensional look. This approach allowed the visuals to retain depth and flexibility while remaining closely aligned with Amazon’s flat, graphic design language.
Kinetic typography and graphic elements were integrated into the 3D scenes to create a cohesive motion sequence that feels structured and controlled rather than expressive or illustrative.
Impact
The animated opener provided a strong entry point for the conference, setting an energetic and focused tone for the event.
The opener reinforced clarity and consistency at the beginning of the conference, providing a clear visual entry point for the event.
